Up to 151km → 8 balls, 1 inning instant' 1 round rookie proves why he is an alternate closing candidate...5.2 Billion FA Jang Hyun-sik Injury Vacancy Is It Okay

A 20-year-old rookie pitcher is drawing attention due to an unexpected ankle injury of a closer.

The LG Twins of the professional baseball league played the Blue and White match at the Indian School Park Baseball Stadium in Scottsdale, Arizona on the 20th (Korea time). Before the Blue and White match began, LG manager Yeom Kyung-yeop first mentioned Kim Young-woo (20), a high school graduate, as an alternative closing candidate in preparation for the injury of closer Jang Hyun-sik in an interview with reporters. 온라인바카라

Jang Hyun-sik suffered an ankle injury during the U.S. spring camp. He only received X-ray examinations in the U.S. on the 19th, but it turned out that there was no abnormality in his bones. Jang Hyun-sik, who returned to Korea, needs to undergo a thorough examination such as MRI and the results to know the exact condition of his injury and the timing of his return.

In the Blue and White match, Kim Young-woo showed why manager Yeom picked him as a closing pitcher with a clean pitch.

Kim Young-woo took the mound as Baek's last pitcher in the top of the seventh inning with Baek leading 6-2. He was the third pitcher on the schedule table, but the order changed in the middle of the game and came out as the last pitcher in the seventh inning.

Kim allowed rookie Lee Han-rim, who was the leadoff hitter, to have a hit to the left with two strikes. He induced cleanup hitter Choi Won-young to ground out to the third base with two strikes, resulting in double plays leading to second and first base. Koo finished the inning with a groundout to the shortstop at the first pitch.

He pitched eight innings, giving one hit and no run. The maximum speed of his fastballs was 151 kilometers and 149 kilometers. The curves were 130 to 133 kilometers.

After the game, Kim Young-woo said in his first Cheongbaek match, "I think it's different from the live pitching. The result was better than I thought during the live performance, but when I went up to the mound thinking it was a game now, I felt more comfortable because I had strong seniors behind me. I think I threw it more fun."

I asked him how he evaluated pitching in the first inning. "I'm satisfied with that because he kept throwing strikes well after winning a fast count, but I'm a little disappointed with his complacent throwing curve after holding two strikes earlier," Kim said.

He threw a curveball to Lee Han-rim when he joined the team, and allowed a hit. "I think it's better because I learned it again today while getting hit," he said with a smile. "Bo-kyung defended well, so I think I was able to finish the game quickly by throwing fewer pitches," he said, thanking the team for its double play defense on third base.

Regarding the change in the order of the game, Kim Young-woo said, "I was listening to it as the third throw, and suddenly I went to the bullpen, and the coach told me to throw it at the end. I don't know why."

Was there anything you heard from the coaching staff before the game against Cheongbaek or the last seven innings? "I didn't say anything in particular. When I thought to myself, I just wanted to look at the center like a rookie and throw it, and even if I get a hit, I learn by getting hit, so I played with the older guys as if I was learning from that thought," Kim said.

"First of all, I paid attention to the advantageous count first, and then I tried to watch it in the middle with confidence and keep counting. I think I listened to the director well because he always told me to look at the center and throw it," he said.

During his time at Seoul High School, Kim threw as a bullpen pitcher. When he comes to the professional league, Kim said, "I'm excited just thinking about it. It's an important position, so I'll do my best if you let me do it."
